Usually when I create illustrations or models, I make use of a lot of colors.. But this time I was told that a serious illustration was required for the cover. At the same time, it should be somehing fun to look at. I remembered what Raghu Rai once said and then tried a little selective desaturation after taking the picture.

Raghu Rai once said that black-and white photography can express shades of gray in a way that colour can not.
Sometimes, we need to silence the noise of colour. A color photo might not be able to capture the full pathos of a sad situation, because it might contain bright yellows and oranges, which represent an upbeat emotion.
Every colour has an emotional connotation, he said. So in order to tell a story as authentically as possible, colour needs to be muted to give way to black and white.
