Figure drawing II


This one is from the life drawing class.  Graphite on Canson paper. Ten days pose.





This one really helped me understand the values, and how they can create the illusion of forms on a paper.

    Her stance is very aggressive and powerful.
    I can only think of her as a warrior from Sparta!

    It's difficult to hold this pose... After initial 10-15 minutes, the model starts to settle in a position that is most comfortable.. So the pose changes towards the end of the sessions and drawing on the paper looks slightly different from what you see.. But then I kind of made some adjustments to keep the same pose that I saw in the beginning.
